La collection capsule, qui dure depuis 180 ans, s'inspire des créations en or « cannelées » des archives Fabergé, une technique pour laquelle Peter Carl Fabergé était réputé et qui était très présente dans ses premières œuvres d'art. La décoration en or cannelé est considérée comme sa marque de fabrique, que l'on retrouve dans de nombreuses pièces exquises de Fabergé d'avant 1917, allant des bijoux aux cadres photo, en passant par les étuis à cigarettes et autres objets d'art. On peut également la retrouver dans des créations modernes, notamment les célèbres bagues cannelées Colours of Love .
Avec des cannelures verticales uniformes autour de la circonférence de l'œuf, pour créer une surface tactile, cette pièce présente un rubis du Mozambique Gemfields sur la base de l'œuf, rayonnant d'une touche de couleur lorsqu'elle est portée. Une rangée de diamants blancs est sertie sur la bélière pour plus d'éclat.
