La colección cápsula de 180 años se inspira en las creaciones de oro "acanalado" del archivo Fabergé , una técnica por la que Peter Carl Fabergé era famoso y que estuvo muy presente en sus primeras obras de arte. La decoración acanalada de oro se considera su estilo característico, que se puede ver en muchas de las exquisitas piezas de Fabergé anteriores a 1917, que abarcaban desde joyas hasta marcos de fotos, pitilleras y otros objetos de arte. Fabergé siempre ha sido conocido por sorprender al público con lo inesperado. Con una altura de 62 mm y un diámetro de tan solo 35 mm, el huevo de oro rosa y rubí en miniatura estriado '180' de edición limitada cabe en la palma de la mano: una obra maestra en miniatura.
El ingenioso acanalado resalta la belleza natural del oro rosa de 18k, creando superficies curvas y niveles mixtos que crean luces y sombras contrastantes. Las estrías están dispuestas en un patrón radial que crea una sensación de energía y alegría, como los rayos del sol. En el centro, a ambos lados del huevo, hay un rubí cabujón brillante, obtenido responsablemente de la mina de rubíes Montepuez de Gemfields en Mozambique. Los rubíes han sido seleccionados por su color excepcional, así como por su simbolismo: los rubíes se asocian desde hace mucho tiempo con la pasión, la prosperidad y la protección. Una delicada hilera de rubíes Gemfields más pequeños añade una textura sutil y brillo a la pieza, separando los dos patrones radiales alrededor de la circunferencia. En un giro divertido, el huevo se puede quitar de su base.

Always handle egg objets with a pair of lint free gloves. When opening the egg objet, hold the lower half and base of the egg in one hand, and gently hold the top of the egg with your other hand. Where there is a central gemstone button on the front of the egg, gently push this upwards with your thumb to open the egg. Do not put high pressure on the egg to open it, as this can damage the hinge. Do not put stress on the area where the stand joins the egg.
