La collezione capsule lunga 180 anni trae ispirazione dalle creazioni in oro "scanalato" nell'archivio Fabergé , una tecnica per la quale Peter Carl Fabergé era rinomato e che era ampiamente utilizzata nelle sue prime opere d'arte. La decorazione scanalata in oro è considerata il suo stile distintivo, visibile in molti degli squisiti pezzi di Fabergé precedenti al 1917, che spaziavano da gioielli a cornici, portasigarette e altri oggetti d'arte. Può essere vista anche nelle creazioni moderne, tra cui i popolari anelli scanalati Colours of Love .

L'abile scanalatura mette in risalto la bellezza naturale dell'oro rosa 18 carati, creando superfici curve e livelli misti che creano luci e ombre contrastanti. Le scanalature sono disposte a raggiera che creano un senso di energia e gioia, come i raggi del sole. Al centro su entrambi i lati dell'uovo c'è un brillante rubino cabochon, proveniente in modo responsabile dalla miniera di rubini Montepuez di Gemfields in Mozambico. I rubini sono stati selezionati per il loro colore eccezionale, nonché per il loro simbolismo: i rubini sono da tempo associati alla passione, alla prosperità e alla protezione. Una delicata fila di rubini Gemfields più piccoli aggiunge consistenza sottile e brillantezza al pezzo, separando i due motivi radiali attorno alla circonferenza. Always handle egg objets with a pair of lint free gloves. When opening the egg objet, hold the lower half and base of the egg in one hand, and gently hold the top of the egg with your other hand. Where there is a central gemstone button on the front of the egg, gently push this upwards with your thumb to open the egg. Do not put high pressure on the egg to open it, as this can damage the hinge. Do not put stress on the area where the stand joins the egg.
