Das Heritage „Robbenwelpe“ aus Gelb- und Weißgold mit Diamanten und weißem Emaille enthält 15 runde weiße Diamanten im Brillantschliff. Diese sind in ein Medaillon aus 18 Karat Weißgold eingefasst, das an einer Öse und Kette aus 18 Karat Gelbgold hängt. Das entzückende Robbenwelpe ist aus schneeweißem Lack mit gelbgoldenen Schnurrhaaren gefertigt. Es blickt mit großen Augen aus dem Medaillon und sitzt auf einer Plattform aus Amazonas- und Silikatachat, die wie frisch gefallener Schnee aussieht.

Peter Carl Fabergé war dafür bekannt, skurrile kleine Tiere aus Hartstein als Anhänger und Ornamente herzustellen. Kunsthistoriker haben beschrieben, dass diese Kreationen – die Fabergé-Menagerie – „psychologisch interpretierende Aspekte“ oder menschenähnliche Qualitäten besitzen. Die Hervorhebung spezifischer Merkmale jedes Themas verlieh ihnen auch unverwechselbare Persönlichkeiten. Fabergé kombinierte diese Hartsteine oft mit Edelmetallen und farbigen Edelsteinen und ließ sie nahtlos miteinander verschmelzen, um Miniaturkunstwerke zu schaffen.
