Tatler has named the Lady Libertine I Timepiece and Lady Levity Timepiece from the Fabergé Dalliance collection as two of the finest timepieces in the world, within the emerald and mother-of-pearl categories.
The genesis for Lady Libertine I, Fabergé’s latest high jewellery timepiece, was the Zambian terrain that is home to Gemfields’ Kagem emerald mine, the source of the emeralds that adorn the gem-set dial. Fabergé decided to use the unique possibilities of this collection’s architecture as a showcase for the raw, verdant power of emeralds.
Inspired by a silver gilt, enamel and rock crystal desk clock created by Peter Carl Fabergé, the Fabergé Lady Levity Timepiece features a man-in-the-moon decoration engraved within a mother-of-pearl dial, which is only visible at certain angles, providing a subtle nod to Fabergé’s signature element of surprise. This decorative feature can be personalised to the owner through bespoke customisation.
The Fabergé Dalliance collection was launched at Baselworld 2016 and is now available to pre-order online.
Fabergé collections are available online or in the international boutiques.
