Launching between now and July, Gemfields is set to premiere four videos, produced in collaboration with Lambda Films.
The first of these, released on World Earth Day (22nd April 2020), is Responsible Sourcing.
During this video, three key areas are bought to life: Livelihoods, Education and Health. Gemfields support lifechanging projects for communities surrounding their mines, such as building schools and providing scholarships; creating farming associations- two of them run by women; and providing mobile and static health clinics.
Gemfields also work with conservation partners to help protect Africa’s wildlife and biodiversity, sustainability and transparency; this too is reflected within the film.
Each short film aims to inform and entertain viewers and explores a specific topic including responsible sourcing, emeralds, the buying process and rubies bringing to life the incredible world of coloured gemstones.
