Our annual global Wholesale Conference took place in London on Thursday 4th and Friday 5th May 2023, themed around the Coronation of King Charles III.
We hosted guests at The Londoner Hotel and held a private exhibition of our newest collections over the two days. A very special private dinner took place on the Thursday evening at The Tower of London, where guests were treated to the magnificent setting of the iconic White Tower, which dates back nearly 1,000 years.
During the exhibition of our new collections, guests were invited to view a special egg sculpture titled ‘The Queen and her Kings’, designed and hand painted by British artist and designer, Sasha Compton. This sculpture previously formed part of a public art exhibition in Chelsea, London in June 2022, entitled ‘Eggs of an Era’ in partnership with the Elephant Family charity. Sasha Compton's ancestor, Sir Robert Vyner, was commissioned to produce the official coronation regalia for Charles II, and it was subsequently announced by the Royal Family that the Regalia made by Sir Robert Vyner was to be used for King Charles III's coronation.
“The 2020s so far have been a decade for family and intimacy. This egg celebrates the Queen and her future Kings; depicted ornately in royal blue. The design was inspired by Fabergé eggs and is a joyful reference to our future heirs to come.” Sasha Compton
All seven sculptures from the ‘Eggs of an Era’ exhibition will be up for auction at The Animal Ball, an Elephant Family event taking place on 28th June. Proceeds from the sale of these sculptures will be applied to their conservation efforts in and around Asia, such as the expansion of protected areas and networks of wildlife corridors.
