FABERGE CELEBRATES WORLD CUP

1 Minute Read
In celebration of the Alpine Skiing World Cup Finals this March, Fabergé reveals the Palais Tsarskoye Selo Teal Locket with Snowflake Surprise – a unique tribute to the beauty of fresh snow.
The Palais Tsarskoye Selo Teal Locket is hand crafted from 18 carat white gold set with blue vitreous enamel – a material that requires such a delicate touch that there are few craftsman left who can work with it. Fabergé’s workmasters meticulously add several layers of enamel to the locket, one at a time, with the pendant fired in a kiln after every layer.
The smallest crack or imperfection means the process begins again.

No Fabergé treasure would be complete without a surprise – the trademark of our founder Peter Carl Fabergé. With a careful touch, the locket opens to reveal an 18 karat white gold snowflake, set with sparkling diamonds.

The Palais Tsarskoye Selo Teal Locket with Snowflake Surprise will debut at our exclusive Andorra partner Perleria de Tahiti, artist-jeweller Laurent Pereira’s family-owned boutique, and in an elegant display case at the Sport Hotel Hermitage & Spa.

The Palais Tsarskoye Selo Teal Locket is inspired by the Russian Imperial family’s gilded baroque country palace, built for Empress Elizabeth by Bartolomeo Rastrelli, the architect of St. Petersburg's Winter Palace, on the Tsarskoye Selo estate.

The Alpine Skiing World Cup Finals in March will be held for the first time in the principality of Andorra perched high in the mountains of the Pyrenees between France and Spain. The world's top alpine skiers will compete in slalom, giant slalom, super-G and downhill trials.

Fabergé collections are available online and in our international boutiques.
