This all-white lacquer rose gold egg pendant, one of the series that gives a rich yet modernist expression to Peter Carl Fabergé’s favourite 18th century rococo style, is ornamented with an energetic curvaceous motif in rose gold, entwined around the base of the egg, hung on its simple polished rose gold loop. The smooth white lacquer requires a highly skilled technique, that recalls the artistry and expertise of 19th century traditional Russian lacquer painters.
