La Broche Lara à Talashkino
This intricate brooch-pendant in the Lara series of characterful bejewelled figures, shows Lara, at Talashkino, the estate of the great arts-patron, Princess Tenisheva, who set up artists’ studios there to nurture folk and peasant arts and crafts. Lara, shown looking over her shoulder, is draped in an elaborate gem-encrusted shawl, inspired by traditional Russian peasant costume and embroideries. She is made of white gold, her face composed of a rose cut diamond.
This piece is set in 18 carat white gold and features round white diamonds, pearls, moonstones, round blue and purple sapphires, round aquamarines and cabochon lapis luzulis.
