PETER CARL FABERGÉ’S 166TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATED WITH GOOGLE DOODLE
Today marks the 166th birthday of Peter Carl Fabergé, born on 30 May1846 in St Petersburg, Russia. Peter Carl Fabergé, legendary artist-jeweller, was the creative genius and goldsmith to the Russian Imperial Court, who created the world-famous Fabergé Imperial Easter Eggs, as well as the most exquisite jewels of its time.
Fabergé today honours the legacy of Peter Carl with its High Jewellery collections, as this year marks the 170th anniversary of the founding of the House of Fabergé in 1842.
To celebrate the anniversary of Peter Carl Fabergé, Google have created a bespoke Google Doodle inspired by the iconic Fabergé Eggs on its search page.
