This exquisite collection of one-of-a-kind single stone cocktail rings and earrings captures the refined settings closely associated with Peter Carl Fabergé, the legendary jeweller to the Imperial Romanov court. This collection takes inspiration from the legendary world of Fabergé and its many original treasures. The Viera collection recalls the story of the Viera, a hoard of original Fabergé jewels discovered in 1990 in an old Moscow mansion at 13 Solyanka Street. While Les Précieuses echoes the supremely feminine settings - ribbons, swags and drapes - favoured by Peter Carl Fabergé for his illustrious clientele.
The original story tells of a Moscow mansion on Solyanka Street, once owned by a wealthy merchant, connoisseur, and Fabergé client, known as the 'Sugar King’. As the Russian Revolution took hold, the jewels were carefully hidden in a wall, under a windowsill, only to be discovered once again so many years later during renovation of the mansion. The jewels, of platinum, gems and pearls, many still with their Fabergé price tags attached, were found inside two battered, old candy tins, wrapped in decayed pre-Revolutionary posters. These contemporary jewels take inspiration from the mystery and discovery around this original story.
